February 7th is an important date for your diary as it marks ‘Safer Internet Day 2012’ which promotes safe, responsible use of the internet and mobile devices to young people.
The e-Learning Foundation is a major supporter of this event and is keen to ensure that as many schools, parents and pupils are aware of it, what it is about and what resources are available.
Resources are available for Parents, children and teachers as well as packs specifically for Primary and Secondary schools.
All of this information is available from their website at: www.saferinternet.org.uk
We hope you will visit the site and help us spread the word to your staff, parents and pupils.

The Next Step Evening
Wednesday 18th January 2012
6.30pm – 8.00pm
Wednesday 18th January 2012 is our information event for Year 11 students and their parents focusing on the next step to 6th Form and finding out the important information you need to choose Post 16 courses.
The Next Step evening starts with a short presentation in the Main Hall, after this students will have the opportunity to collect information from staff and 6th Form students about the range of courses available in our 6th Form.
This is such an important stage in a young person’s life, with many decisions and plans to be made. We are sure you will want to share this evening with us and help your son or daughter to be successful in making the right decision for them.
We look forward to seeing you at this event.
Yours sincerely
Miss Laura Pinkney
