As part of National Careers Week Stoke Damerel Community College is welcoming a number of guest speakers who will tell students about their lives in careers from the arts to the Royal Navy.

National Careers Week runs from 4-8 March and Apprenticeships Week from 11-15 March 2013 and throughout the fortnight students will be offered advice and guidance on a variety of careers and vocations.

Stoke Damerel Community College's Year 11 Maths students have beaten the school record for the most students achieving a grade C or higher at GCSE by this point in the academic year.

One hundred and eleven of the 215 students have now achieved C or above, with two students pupils achieving A*s, four gaining As and 18 getting Bs.
