Year 7 Rugby Team Impresses at Plymouth Cup Debut

Our Year 7 rugby team recently took part in their first-ever Plymouth Cup tournament at Elburton, marking an exciting milestone in their sporting journey. For many of the students, this was their first experience of competitive rugby, and they embraced the challenge with enthusiasm and determination.

From the very first game, the team showed a fantastic attitude towards learning the sport, quickly adapting to the fast-paced nature of competitive matches. Despite being new to the game, they demonstrated impressive skill, with strong attacking play leading to plenty of well-earned tries. Their commitment to both attack and defence was evident throughout, as they worked hard to support each other on the pitch.

A special mention goes to Frankie, who finished as the team’s top try scorer, showcasing great speed and agility. Meanwhile, Kye, Archie, and Oliver earned praise for their fearless tackling, showing true resilience and bravery against tough opposition.

Overall, it was a fantastic debut for the team, and we are incredibly proud of their efforts. This experience has laid a strong foundation for their rugby development, and we look forward to seeing them continue to grow and succeed in future tournaments. Well done, Year 7!
