Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Qualifying Expedition – Year 9 Students Triumph

Well done to our incredible Year 9 students who successfully completed their Duke of Edinburgh Bronze qualifying expedition this past weekend!

After just four weeks of training, 40 students from across the campus embarked on their second expedition, navigating the picturesque yet challenging route from Ermington to Mountbatten via the Erme Valley Trail and South West Coast Path. They demonstrated excellent self-organisation, navigational skills, and resilience as they worked together to overcome testing conditions and reach the finish line on Saturday.

This final expedition followed a two-day practice journey earlier in the term, during which students tackled the South West Coast Path from Mountbatten to Whitsands. That preparation paid off, with all participants rising to the challenge and showcasing remarkable growth and determination.

Huge congratulations to everyone involved – a fantastic achievement and a real testament to their commitment and teamwork.
