Stoke Damerel DofE Students Shine Through Community Volunteering

At Stoke Damerel, our Duke of Edinburgh’s Award students have once again shown just how committed they are to making a difference. Over the past year, they’ve collectively dedicated an impressive 2,080 hours to volunteering within the local community. Across the whole campus, an incredible 3,406 hours have been contributed—an achievement that speaks volumes about our students’ compassion, generosity, and drive.
From supporting local libraries and walking dogs, to helping in primary schools, running Brownie and Beaver groups, tutoring peers, coaching sports, volunteering at parkrun events, and assisting the elderly—our students have embraced a wide range of volunteering opportunities.
These ongoing efforts highlight not only a strong sense of civic duty but also a willingness to give back in practical and meaningful ways. The positive impact they’ve made on individuals and community groups is something we are truly proud of.
A huge thank you and congratulations to all our DofE volunteers for the time, care, and energy you’ve invested. You are a credit to the school and the wider community.
Well done!
