What an evening for the Year 8 Diamonds at Heles! The team’s energy and passion shone through from start to finish. With six enthusiastic subs for a seven-a-side game, every player was eager to get involved—making it a night full of excitement and team spirit.
Their first match, against a strong DHSG team, started brilliantly. The Diamonds held their opponents tightly, going into halftime just one goal behind. Despite a narrow loss, the girls demonstrated excellent teamwork and determination. Player of the Game was awarded to Fatima, whose strong defensive performance earned praise from the DHSG coach.
The girls truly shone in their second match against All Saints, delivering an impressive 5–0 victory! Evie scored a stunning goal from the edge of the D, leaving even herself in awe. Player of the Game went to Lyla, who provided consistent support in both attack and defence, helping secure a memorable win.
