New Sport Leadership Programme Launches for Year 9 and 10 Students

This term, Miss Plumpton launched the Level 1 Sports Leadership Award for 40 Year 9 and 10 students, giving them the opportunity to take an active role in PE lessons, school events, and city-wide competitions.

Through the programme, students will help organise activities, assist with events, and contribute to a variety of sporting projects. These experiences will allow them to develop practical skills such as communication, organisation, teamwork, and problem-solving, while building confidence in real-world settings.

The programme also offers a pathway to achieve the Level 1 Sports Leadership qualification, a nationally recognised award that can support future opportunities in sports, volunteering, and beyond.

Miss Plumpton commented, “This programme encourages students to try new challenges and experience the positive impact of their efforts. We’re excited to see their progress throughout the year.”

With a full calendar ahead—including inter-school competitions and school sports days—this promises to be an exciting and inspiring year.
