Benefit Elite Coaching Works with Year 7 and 8 Students

Over the past six weeks, our Year 7 and 8 students have been taking part in rugby coaching sessions with Ben Russell from Benefit Elite Coaching. Ben, a former professional rugby player, brought great knowledge and enthusiasm to each lesson, helping students to build skills, confidence, and teamwork.

From the very first week, Ben’s sessions were filled with energy, challenge, and encouragement. Students were supported to push themselves, try new skills, and work together — all while developing a real appreciation for rugby. Ben created an environment where everyone could take part, regardless of their experience.

Our students shared some of their thoughts about the sessions:

  • “Mr Ben was very kind and helpful to people who had never played rugby before. I learnt a lot in his sessions.”
  • “Mr Ben helped me learn how to play rugby and taught me to be better. It was lovely for someone so talented to coach us.”
  • “Mr Ben was patient and a great teacher. I’d love for him to come back – thank you for teaching us!”
  • “Mr Ben taught us so much about rugby. His activities were interactive and he praised us a lot.”

We would like to thank Ben for the time he has given to our students and for the positive impact his coaching has had. We hope to welcome him back to school again soon.
