Year 10 Students Take Part in Inspiring Employability Workshop

As part of our ongoing commitment to preparing students for life beyond school, sixty Year 10s took part in an Employability Workshop delivered by Cecile and Tim from Young Enterprise. The programme was designed to help pupils develop vital workplace skills and build career confidence.
Cecile and Tim shared practical advice, real-world examples, and valuable insights into the qualities employers value most — helping participants connect what they learn in school to the skills needed for future careers.
The sessions included a range of interactive activities that encouraged collaboration, communication, and creativity. One of the highlights was the chance to design personal logos, prompting reflection on individual strengths and how to present them to future employers.
Students also explored how to make a positive first impression and considered the key behaviours that help candidates stand out in today’s competitive job market. These exercises inspired thoughtful discussion about employability and the qualities that contribute to professional success.
By the end of the day, everyone left feeling motivated, empowered, and better prepared for life beyond school.
A heartfelt thank you to Young Enterprise for delivering such an inspiring and impactful experience — we look forward to seeing our students put their new skills into action!
