Students Bring Festive Spirit During 12 Days of Christmas

This year, the 12 Days of Christmas at our college were nothing short of magical, with students and staff fully embracing the festive spirit.

Every day brought a new wave of excitement, joy, and imagination, making it a truly memorable way to celebrate the end of term.

From the very start, the college was buzzing with activity. Students decorated the Christmas tree with handmade baubles, adding their personal touch to the festive centerpiece. Energetic DJ sessions and spirited Christmas-oke performances had everyone singing and dancing along, while a lively Year 9 Basketball vs Netball match showcased teamwork and friendly competition.

Highlights across the twelve days were packed with fun and ingenuity. Students threw themselves into the “Hide and Geese” challenge, raced through the Reindeer Relay, and wowed everyone with their moves in a Christmas Just Dance! session in the Main Hall. The festive House Christmas Film brought out both talent and humour, with students involved both on screen and behind the scenes. Staff joined the excitement in a competitive volleyball match, while Year 11 enjoyed their Christmas Dinner and the thrilling Prom Launch, marking a special milestone in their college journey.

Students shared their excitement about the celebrations:

“Christmas-oke was hilarious! Everyone was singing and laughing together - it really felt like a proper celebration,” added a Year 10 participant.

“The Just Dance! session was amazing! I didn’t want it to end,” exclaimed another student.

“The silent disco was so cool! Dancing in the dark with headphones on made it feel like we were in our own world, and everyone was having so much fun!” said a Year 9 student.

The festive spirit didn’t stop there. Students showed off their flair and school pride on Christmas Jumper Day, while musical performances by Richard Pinn and plenty of impromptu singing and dancing kept the energy high throughout the day.

The celebrations wrapped up with the Christmas assemblies, where the whole college came together to reflect on a busy term, celebrate achievements, and share the joy of the season. Students commented on how much they enjoyed taking part, collaborating with friends, and experiencing the wide variety of events – from games and music to food and competitions.

A huge thank you goes out to everyone who participated and helped support our charity buckets throughout the 12 days. It was a fantastic way to bring the college community together, ending the term on a high note full of fun, camaraderie, and festive cheer.
