Try, Train, Triumph: Girls Shine at Rugby Festival

A group of our enthusiastic students from Years 7, 8 and 9 took part in an exciting Girls Rugby Festival hosted at Exeter College.
Throughout the day, students engaged in a wide range of skill-based sessions designed to develop key aspects of the game. They worked on passing, kicking, agility and communication, building both confidence and teamwork as they progressed.
After the training sessions, students had the chance to put their new skills into action in a small T1 rugby tournament. The team delivered an impressive performance, winning three matches and drawing one—an excellent achievement that reflected their hard work and determination.
To make the experience even more memorable, students were given the opportunity to see the Women's Rugby World Cup trophy as it continues its tour around the country - an inspiring moment for all involved.
The students remained fully engaged throughout the day, demonstrating fantastic effort, positive attitudes and, most importantly, a real enjoyment of the experience.
Belle summed up the day perfectly, saying,
“It was really fun and I loved learning new skills. Playing in the tournament was exciting, and seeing the World Cup trophy made it even more special!”
It was a brilliant opportunity to develop skills, build confidence and celebrate girls’ participation in sport.
