Growing Together: Our Garden Transformation!

Over the past two weeks, our outside space has undergone a vibrant transformation thanks to an exciting collaboration with the Next Generation Nature/Green Communities project.
The initiative focused on enhancing our outdoor spaces, turning a quiet corner of the garden into a thriving hub of biodiversity. With sleeves rolled up and trowels in hand, our students took the lead in the transformation, working alongside project leaders to design and plant a new, sustainable environment.
The project wasn’t just about aesthetics; it was about creating a functional, "edible" garden. Students planted a wide variety of:
-
Vegetables and Fruits: From seasonal greens to sweet berries, providing a hands-on look at where our food comes from.
-
Pollinator-Friendly Flowers: To attract local bees and butterflies, boosting our local ecosystem.
The result is a significantly brighter, more welcoming space that students can enjoy during break times and use as an outdoor classroom. The project has sparked a fantastic conversation across the school about sustainability and the importance of green spaces for our wellbeing.
A huge thank you to the Next Generation Nature/Green Communities team and, most importantly, to our hardworking students whose dedication made this transformation possible. We can’t wait to see the first harvest!
