Checking In: Eco Club Builds Bug Hotels for Our Eco Garden

Our Eco Club has been hard at work bringing more wildlife into our school grounds! In their latest hands-on project, students designed and built custom "bug hotels" to install in our school eco garden.
Demonstrating real environmental initiative, the team gathered a variety of natural and recycled materials for the build. Using a mix of foraged items—including twigs, pine cones, and garden vegetation—alongside repurposed wood and cardboard, students crafted cosy, multi-layered habitats designed to shelter local insects and pollinators through the changing seasons.
"I loved collecting all the pine cones and twigs, and it feels great knowing we're helping the bugs have a safe place to live in our eco garden!" - Matilda, Eco Club Member
Projects like this give our students a practical understanding of local biodiversity, conservation, and the importance of reusing materials.
A fantastic effort by everyone in Eco Club - our eco garden's newest micro-guests are going to love their five-star accommodation!
