Year 10 Rounders Team Show Promise in First Matches of the Season

The Year 10 rounders' team had an exciting start to their season with a strong showing at Eggbuckland Community College. With some talented new additions this year and a few Year 9 students stepping up to join the squad, the team demonstrated excellent teamwork and noticeable improvement after each inning.
Although the team narrowly missed out on a win, both games were incredibly close and hard-fought. In their first match against Tor Bridge, they were just edged out with a final score of 15–16. The second game saw another tight contest, finishing 11–13.5 against Lipson. Despite these results, the performances were full of promise and the matches could easily have swung either way.
A standout performance came from Joy, who delivered some powerful hits and was equally strong in the field. Lilia and Oliwia also impressed with consistent batting throughout the day. The Year 9 players grew in confidence with each match, which was fantastic to witness.
Captain Milan, alongside Naomi and Ella used their experience and leadership skills to bring the team together and act as role models to the younger students.
It was a brilliant start to the season, full of energy, development, and team spirit. The future looks bright for this talented group!
