The Big Sing Returns – A Celebration of Music and Community

Students from Years 7 to 10 were thrilled to take part in this year’s Big Sing – a vibrant and joyful event making its return for a second year. Joined by a number of local primary schools from across the city, the event brought young voices together in a powerful celebration of music and collaboration.
The musical repertoire delighted audiences with a lively mix of Disney favourites and timeless hits from artists such as Bob Marley. The event began with an inspiring performance by our talented Year 10 musicians, setting the tone for a morning filled with energy, enthusiasm, and harmony. Watching students of all ages singing together was a true highlight and a wonderful display of unity through music.
Following the morning’s performances, our students had the exciting opportunity to take part in a vocal harmony workshop led by the incredible Legacy Choir. They demonstrated fantastic focus and musicianship as they learnt to perform a four-part vocal arrangement of Blinding Lights by The Weeknd. The session was full of fun and creativity, with every student bringing passion and dedication to their performance.
We’re excited to share that our collaboration with the Legacy Choir will continue into the new academic year, as students prepare for special performances during the upcoming festive season. Stay tuned for more musical moments to come!
