Our CCF Students Enjoy an Action-Packed Annual Summer Camp

Our Combined Cadet Force (CCF) students recently took part in their annual summer camp—an exciting and rewarding experience filled with opportunities for adventure, personal growth, and teamwork. It’s always a highlight in the CCF calendar, and this year was no exception.

Throughout the week, cadets faced a variety of outdoor challenges and activities, all while dealing with ever-changing weather—from heavy rain to warm summer sunshine. Their enthusiasm never wavered, and they embraced each task with determination, resilience, and strong team spirit.

Cadets took part in walking expeditions across rugged landscapes, field craft training, and a spirited game of capture the flag—all designed to test strategic thinking, leadership, and collaboration. These hands-on challenges pushed them out of their comfort zones and helped them develop valuable survival and problem-solving skills in a real-world setting.

Evenings brought a change of pace, as students worked together to prepare and cook their meals before settling into the bunkhouse to rest and reflect. A particular highlight was the night walk—an atmospheric and challenging experience that saw cadets navigating unfamiliar terrain under the stars, relying on teamwork, communication, and a steady sense of direction.

Throughout the camp, students demonstrated exceptional determination, adaptability, and camaraderie. Though they returned to school a little tired, they did so with renewed confidence, stronger friendships, and plenty of stories to share.

We’re incredibly proud of their achievements and the spirit they showed throughout the week. Well done to all who took part!
