Year 7 Students Take Part in Annual Big Day Out

Our Year 7 students had an unforgettable time on their annual Big Day Out — a day packed with activities and opportunities to bond with their peers. The adventure began with a scenic ferry ride to Mount Edgcumbe, where students soaked up the fresh air and admired the beautiful views.

Once at the beach, they dived into fun challenges, from building towering rock sculptures to hunting for hidden treasures in scavenger hunts. After exploring the shoreline, students set off on a coastal walk leading up to the historic Mount Edgcumbe House. There, team challenges — including a spirited game of capture the flag — brought out everyone’s competitive side while encouraging teamwork and cooperation.

The day wasn’t just about activities; it was also a chance for students to get to know their tutor and house leader, strengthen connections within their tutor groups, and make new friends along the way. Laughter, teamwork, and shared experiences made it truly a day to remember.

By the end of the Big Day Out, Year 7 students had created lasting memories and forged friendships that will carry them through the rest of their time at the school.
