Sweet Success: Mrs Green and Students Raise £151 for Make-A-Wish

Last week, Mrs Green took part in Make-A-Wish’s nationwide ‘Bake a Wish’ charity bake sale. Inspired by Make-A-Wish being one of our House Charities last year, she has also been accepted to run the TCS London Marathon 2026. She is aiming to raise as much support as possible for this incredible charity, which brings hope and joyful moments to seriously ill children.

Over the weekend, Mrs Green baked alongside her own children, with additional contributions generously donated by staff. When the bake sale arrived, three of her tutor group students Casey, Freya and Elia eagerly volunteered to help sell the cakes during break. Their efforts were met with huge enthusiasm—so many students wanted their sweet treats and to donate to such a great cause that Mr Stephens even stepped in to help. Within just 20 minutes, every single cake had sold—not a crumb left!

Thanks to everyone’s hard work and generosity, the team raised an impressive £151.00 for Make-A-Wish. We are immensely proud of Mrs Green, her students, and all who supported this wonderful cause. Watch this space—this popular bake sale team will be back in action soon!
