Year 10 Drama Students Gain Industry Experience at The Barbican Theatre
Our first group of Year 10 Drama students recently took part in an exciting Work Experience placement at The Barbican Theatre. Through the Mission Accomplished programme, they were given a unique opportunity to gain hands-on insight into the performing arts industry.
Over the course of the week, the group devised and performed original pieces, developed a professional funding bid, and worked alongside theatre producers and industry experts. This gave them a deeper understanding of the creative and technical processes that bring performances to life on stage.
The placement proved both challenging and rewarding, helping students to build confidence, creativity, and teamwork skills. They thoroughly enjoyed their time at The Barbican Theatre and returned inspired to explore future careers in the arts.
