Our Students Shine at First LEGO League at the National Marine Aquarium

Mr Hatherley and Mrs Walton had the privilege of taking 11 of our students from Years 7–9 to the National Marine Aquarium to compete in the First LEGO League.

Throughout the day, our students were outstanding ambassadors for the school. They were polite, engaging, and supportive, interacting brilliantly with other teams and demonstrating fantastic teamwork.

Although they did not take home any of the major trophies, the judges were highly impressed by the creativity and effort put into their projects. Students showcased an incredible range of work, including VR environments, physical plaster cast pillars, leaflets, interactive games, and a brilliant presentation.

Reflecting on the experience, Jake said:

"It was amazing to see all our ideas come to life and to work with my friends as a team. Even though we didn’t win, I’m proud of everything we achieved and how we represented our school."

We are incredibly proud of the way our students represented the school, demonstrating collaboration, creativity, and innovation. Their hard work and dedication made the day a truly memorable experience, and we can’t wait to see what they achieve next!
