Strong Results in the Biology Olympiad
Selected Year 12 students from our BTEC Medical Sciences and A Level Biology courses took part in the Biology Olympiad, a national competition that challenges students to apply their biological knowledge beyond the classroom
Students from Stoke Damerel Community College achieved excellent results this year. Dawid received a Bronze Certificate, placing him in the top 15% of more than 18,800 students who took part nationally. We also received a number of Highly Commended and Commended certificates.
Dawid reflected:
“It was a tough challenge, but it was amazing to see how much I’ve learnt and to test my knowledge against students across the country.”
Scott also celebrated a number of Highly Commended and Commended certificates too.
These achievements reflect the dedication and enthusiasm our students bring to their science studies, and we are extremely proud of everyone who took part!
