The programme was part of The Tech Frontier initiative, secured by the Devon, Plymouth & Torbay Careers Hub to inspire the next generation of digital leaders. Working in a professional business environment alongside 30 peers from other schools, our students acted as software developers to code a mock Mars Rover to move independently. They also networked with industry giant Babcock, managing strict budgets and tight deadlines along the way.

The week culminated in a spectacular finale inside Market Hall’s immersive Dome, where teams presented their working robots to a panel of industry VIPs.

Our students thrived under the independence and high expectations of the workplace:
