The Stars

The Stars enjoyed an impressive clean sweep, securing victories in both of their matches. They had their opening game against Coombe Dean with a hard-fought 9–6 triumph, before following up with a dominating match against Tor Bridge with a convincing 21–6 win.

Throughout their games, the Stars showcased outstanding teamwork and court coverage. The midcourt unit orchestrated some excellent passages of play, driving the ball seamlessly down the court to set up the attack. Up front, the shooting circle was in fine form with on-point finishing from Bonnie, Bethany, and Anna. At the defensive end, Judith and Katie put on superb displays in the goal circle, shutting down opposition attacks with unrelenting pressure and key intercepts.

"The energy in both games was unmatched—everyone clicked, communicated, and played with total confidence from the first whistle to the last," said Anna following the Stars' double victory.

The Diamonds

The Diamonds faced some fiercely competitive opposition, taking on strong teams from DHSG (losing 15–5) and Eggbuckland (losing 13–2). Despite challenging first halves, the Diamonds showed remarkable resilience and determination. In both games, they came back fighting in the second half, showing fantastic grit to massively improve the scoreline and turn the tide of play.

Shiloh provided amazing support down the court, working tirelessly across both Wing Defence and Goal Defence to break up opposition plays and transition the ball forward. Meanwhile, Izzy put on a standout display at Wing Attack, utilizing great speed and elevation to continually get free and drive into space against very tough defensive opposition.

"We might have faced a tough start, but standard performance means never giving up—we proved our strength by resetting at half-time and fighting for every single ball," reflected Izzy after the matches.
