A World-Class Foundation

Our launch event was a huge success, and it was wonderful to welcome parents to join in the celebrations. Grounded in our school values - Work Hard, Be Kind, Be World Class - the evening marked an exciting new chapter for our 26 talented young athletes, who proudly received their official academy kits and signed their formal Academy Agreements.

The academy provides a bespoke development programme designed to nurture both athletic talent and essential life skills. Players benefit from:

• Three specialised training sessions per week.

• A dedicated Football DNA curriculum embedded into PE lessons.

• Early morning strength & conditioning and futsal coaching.

• Two hours of expert after-school instruction led directly by Plymouth Argyle coaches.

Dream Debut: 6–0 Victory Over Ivybridge!

The commitment, enthusiasm, and hard work of the squad are already paying huge dividends. Playing a fixture against a strong Ivybridge Community College team, the boys delivered an unforgettable performance, securing their first-ever win as an academy team with a clinical 6–0 victory!

Featuring several debutants, Stoke hit the ground running with an early lead, taking a 2–0 advantage into half-time thanks to disciplined shape, organisation, and teamwork. A tactical shift at the break introduced two strikers, focusing on strong aerial battles and clear communication. The result was a dominant second-half display that sealed a memorable win.

Match Highlights & Achievements:

• Goalscorers: Freddie (1), Hettie (2), Theo (1), Louie (2)
