Mr Stephens, Mr McKenzie, and Miss Wright lead a very "hands on", creative session, which all the students enjoyed immensely.  

Working with clay, and exploring the idea of fusing glass to ceramics, our Year 5 visitors created their own unique, individual works of art, inspired by observing patterns in nature. After developing their ideas on paper first, the students worked with clay slabs, and coloured glass, to construct decorative tiles.

The Art Department have really enjoyed working with Keyham Barton, and all of the Year 5 students left Stoke Damerel eager with anticipation at how their work will look when they see it again in September, after it has been fired.
