Year 8/9 Girls' Netball teams shows impressive spirit

It has been a busy week for our girls' netball ball teams, with both Year 8 and Year 9 teams playing exceptionally well.

The Year 9 netball girls showed wonderful team spirit as they played two matches in one evening.

The girls quickly starting organising themselves in the warm-up, discussing tactics. Captain Miley led the group and showed excellent manners when approaching the other teams pupils and staff.

The girls had the upper hand against Plymstock and secured an impressive 7-4 result, a great come back after originally being 2-0 down. The girls continued to play to a high standard against a strong PHS team, unfortunately losing 11-2, both our year 9 shooters scoring fantastic goals.

The Year 8 girls netball team had two fixtures against tough opposition. They played some fantastic netball, and in both matches were winning at half-time. Unfortunately both teams proved too strong in the second half. Losing 10-5 to Plymstock and a narrow loss of 2-1 against Plymouth High. There was great determination from the girls & consistent shooting from Brooke, who received Player of the Day.

Excellent work and team spirit by all the girls involved. Well done!
