Cadet activities over half term
Over half-term, cadets Georgia and Morgane joined Devon ACF for a weeks training at Okehampton Battle Camp, which included a 2-day exercise at Scraesdon Fort, long range shooting at Tregantle, as well as drill and first aid.
Georgia secured a place on the course to enable her to complete the residential section for her Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award, which needed to be 5 days and 4 nights away with a group of people she did not know. Georgia did really well across all aspects, and the staff were impressed with her knowledge and attitude towards the training.
Morgane, has been a member of Devon ACF for about 4 years, and is now one of our most senior cadets. She also did exceptionally well on the course, and is now eligible to be promoted to Sargent!
Well done to both girl, this has been a fantastic opportunity that has enriched and broadened their horizon, both outside and within school.
