For most of the Year 9 Cricket Team it was their first experience playing a hard ball match of cricket but having watched them play you never would have guessed!

The team's bowling and fielding was excellent, taking 8 wickets as well as some strong hitting to get us to a score of 70. The most pleasing part of the day was how much the team encouraged each other throughout the match and how much they enjoyed taking every wicket. 

Our Year 7 and 8's took part in their first soft ball cricket tournament on Thursday at DHSB. It was great to be one of the few schools that took two teams to the competition with the teams winning 3 out of their 5 games. Again, for a lot of the students it was their first experience of any type of cricket match, but they all got stuck in and learnt a lot.
