Oceans Day - 15th July 2021

World Oceans Day reminds everyone of the major role the oceans have in everyday life. They are the lungs of our Planet and a major source of food and medicine and a critical part of the biosphere.

The purpose of the Day is to inform students of the impact of human actions on the ocean. The second fully virtual celebration of United Nations World Oceans Day, on the 8th June 2021, highlighted the theme of The Ocean: Life and Livelihoods.

Here at SDCC we are going to be celebrating World Oceans Day on the 14th and 15th July.
