Year 8 and 9 sports leaders complete first stage of the KS3 Leadership Award

The day was a dynamic blend of theory, practical sessions, and valuable discussions as these budding leaders embarked on a journey to enhance their leadership skills and contribute to the sports culture within the academy.

The training kicked off with an engaging theory session where the young sports leaders delved into the intricacies of planning and executing a warm-up routine. The morning provided a solid foundation as they expanded their understanding of the responsibilities and values associated with being a sports leader. Discussions ranged from teamwork to discipline, setting the stage for a day of practical application.

With theory in hand, the sports leaders transitioned seamlessly into the practical aspect of the training. They had the opportunity to plan their warm-ups, applying the knowledge gained earlier. The academy echoed with energy as these leaders confidently delivered their creative warm-up routines to their peers.

The success of the first training session sets a positive tone for the journey ahead. The academy is proud to witness the growth and enthusiasm of these sports leaders. As they move into the next term, the anticipation is high for the continuation of this training journey, eager to witness the continued development of these young leaders.
