Year 8 & Year 9 Netball Leaders Shine at Primary Bee Netball Events

The young leaders of our Year 8 and Year 9 Netball teams recently showcased their dedication and skills at the Primary Bee Netball Events held at the Plymouth Life Centre.

In preparation for the events, these budding leaders underwent a comprehensive day of training, each earning a well-deserved PSSP Netball Young Leaders Umpiring Award.

Eager and equipped with newfound expertise, the students took charge during two action-packed days, leading activities for Year 5 and Year 6 primary students. The first day was dedicated to delivering engaging netball-based activities, fostering skill development and teamwork at the Netball Development Festival. The second day presented a different challenge as our leaders put their umpiring skills into action at the Competitive Bee Netball Tournament.

The girls exhibited remarkable talent, not only in coaching but also in officiating netball matches. Their confidence soared, and they seamlessly navigated the intricacies of the sport. The feedback received from the PSSP staff highlighted the exceptional performance of our netball leaders, praising their coaching finesse and officiating prowess.

These events not only provided valuable experience but also served as a platform for our young leaders to grow and develop essential skills. The commitment and enthusiasm displayed by the netball leaders are a testament to their passion for the sport and their dedication to honing leadership qualities.

We look forward to witnessing the continued growth and success of these promising netball leaders, who are shaping up to be inspiring role models for their peers and the wider community!
