The visit commenced with an immersive overview of life at Plymouth University, offering glimpses into seminars, lectures, and the wide spectrum of study options. Students gained valuable insights into the study demands and the vibrant community that characterises university life.

However, the highlight of the day was the opportunity to apply criminological theories and investigative techniques to solve a simulated murder mystery. The crime scene, meticulously set up in the crime house, presented students with the challenge of collecting evidence, interviewing witnesses, and scrutinising suspects. Engaging in hands-on problem-solving, students tapped into their analytical skills to unravel the intricacies of the case.

From law enforcement and criminal justice to forensic psychology and policy analysis, students gained invaluable insights into the diverse professional avenues awaiting them post-18.

Keira beamed, "The day was very informative but also so fun! I really enjoyed how interactive it was. I definitely left the university considering their Criminology and Psychology course as an option for the future, and it was good to see where my A-level options could potentially take me."
