British Science Week: Exploring Climate Change with Stu Higgs

Today marked an exciting occasion as Stu Higgs from the National Marine Aquarium joined us as part of National Science Week. With a focus on climate change, Stu's visit was both educational and thought-provoking.

The entire Year 7 cohort participated in this special event, where Stu shed light on climate change from various perspectives. As an expert in marine conservation, Stu brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table, making him the perfect guide for this exploration into one of the most pressing issues of our time.

What set this event apart was its interactive nature. Rather than simply lecturing, Stu encouraged active participation from the students. Through engaging discussions and thought-provoking questions, he sparked curiosity and inspired critical thinking amongst our young minds.

The ultimate goal of the event was to raise awareness about the importance of reducing our carbon footprints and taking action against climate change. By fostering a sense of empowerment and agency, we hope to instill in students a desire to make a positive difference in the world around them.
