SPORT FIXTURE RESULTS

A ROUND UP OF SPORTING EVENTS 2021

Stoke Damerel Community College Sport Weekly

Year 2021-22

October 2021:

What an amazing half term of sporting participation and success we have had at SDCC! Over 150 students have taken part in extra-curricular sports events, learning new skills, boosting fitness, building team-work - and having fun.

You might have spotted the bulletin board in the sports department, where we share our sporting news from that week each Friday and list the fixtures for the next week. We are also sharing our students’ successes on this page on the College website, so come back here for our weekly updates. Keep an eye out too, for social media posts on our official College pages.

PE teacher Mr Harvey said: “For our Year 7s and Year 8s, this half term has been their first experience of representing the school and it has been very pleasing to watch their progress.

“We are also delighted at how many students are taking part across all the sports in our extra-curricular events. We would encourage anyone who is interested in getting involved in sports to speak to their PE teacher,” he added.

Special mention goes out to the Year 7 boys’ rugby team which has gone the whole season undefeated, and to the Year 7 boys’ football team for a brilliant 4-1 win over Lipson in the second round of the National Cup - they face Devonport High School for Boys in the next round.
